Contributions to the Louisiana Association of Dispensing Opticians are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.  They are deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense, except that portion attributed to lobbying.  LADO estimates that 9% of your dues is attributable to lobbying and therefore, not deductible.
